Assalaamu Alaikum,
Praise be to Allah, prayer and peace be upon the Master of Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), his family and companions. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has favored some days and months for fasting over others, such as the month of Sha’ban, which is a great act of worship.
