1st announcement of MSAJ Annual Meeting, Hakone, 2009
The details of the annual meeting are as follows:
1- OBJECTIVES OF MEETING:
- Increase the relationship among Muslim students in Japan.
- Gaining more Islamic knowledge.
- Exchange the experience among local societies in different Da’awa activates.
- Increase faith by staying two nights in totally Islamic environment.
- Showing Islam as a comprehensive way of life especially for New Muslims.
- How we can benefit from technology in Japan to solve economic and scientific research problems especially, in Muslim countries.
- Full meeting registration(three days and two nights): MSAJ society members “250” as a maximum capacity for the hotel. “Early reserved members are eligible”
- Day-time registration: New Muslims and Non-Muslims can come for one day.. Other Muslims living nearby can also come to attend on the day-time and return home for sleeping. Fees for one day registration is 2000 Yen for adult, 1000 Yen for child (4 ~ 12 Years) and free for less than 4 years.
2- SPEAKERS
1. Dr. Azzam Tamimi
The director of the "Institute of Islamic Political Thought" in London.
He is also an official spokesperson for the Muslim Association of Britain.
Senior Lecturer at Markfield Institute of Higher Education.
2. Speaker from World Assembly for Muslim Youth (WAMY)
3. Speaker from International Association for New Muslim (INAM),
4. A professional Sister for workshops and training for Muslims’ Family affairs.
3- MEETING TOPICS (Tentatively):
• Da’awa through behavior.
• Muslim Minorities and keeping identity
• Challenges facing the Muslim nation, solutions and means.
• Palestine: History and Duties
• Islamism and Civil Society.
• Preparing one self to Ramadhan
4- PLACE: Hakone Academy Hotel, easy access, located in sightseeing area, rooms with very good condition, air condition; large conference rooms with good facilities; large and beautiful banquet room for meals; nursing room for mothers with babies; separate rooms for children activities; separate room for special discussions and workshops.

5- FOOD: All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be offered at the banquet room of the hotel.
6- NO. OF PARTICIPANTS: MSAJ along with the organizing committee will arrange Inshaa Alaah for hosting about 250 Muslim participants (including children more than 5 years) from all over Japan. About 100 New Muslims with a percent of interested Non-Muslim participants are also expected to join a special parallel program on the second day.
7- PROGRAM Outlines:
The general outline for the program will be released at the beginning of August Inshaa Allaah.
The program will contain several thoughtful lectures, workshop sessions and poster session.
8- ATTENDEES CAN REGISTER:
Fees for full registration: Adult 12,000Yen and Child (4~12 years) 6,000Yen
Children younger than 4 are free.
9- REGISTRATION: (PLEASE REGISTER THROUGH YOUR LOCAL ORGANIZATION)
Full registration includes:
• Two nights stay at hotel.
• Three full days lectures, sessions and program (Saturday, Sunday and Monday).
• Meals for three full days. (except breakfast of first day and dinner of last day).
• Bus for sightseeing trip (last day).
Day-time registration includes:
• Full days of lectures, sessions and activities.
• Meals and coffee breaks on day of attendance.

1- Full meeting registration (three days and two nights): MSAJ society members.
2- Day-time registration: New Muslim and Non-Muslims as well as others living nearby.
*** A special parallel program will be specified for New Japanese Muslims and the invited Non-Muslims. (It is planned to take place on the second day (Sunday, August, 16th, 2009).
